During Mr. Issa’s 7 terms in office he has continuously failed to represent his constituents of California’s 49th District, instead finding the “power” of national politics more appealing. Although Darrell Issa is no longer Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, during his four years as chairman of that committee he was responsible for taking partisan politics to a new low; he was, and continues to be criticized for his words and actions. Mr. Issa has willfully violated his Oath of Office, as well as the Common Rules and the Ethics Rules of the House of Representatives. ‘He is one of the wealthiest members of Congress, but unlike every other member in his financial class, he refused to place his holdings in a blind-trust, instead choosing to maintain an active ‘hands-on’ approach as partner, manager, president or chairman, across almost two dozen corporations, trusts, and foundations; it is hard to understand exactly how he gives the full-time commitment expected of an elected official.
